What are Warmbloods?
Warmbloods are middle-weight European horses bred for dressage, show jumping, eventing, and driving. They stand 155–185 cm and wear bay, black, chestnut, or gray coats, sometimes roan or palomino. These breeds emerged across continental Europe, with studbooks established in the 18th and 19th centuries. Open-studbook policies and performance-based selection define the group, separating warmbloods from lighter hot-bloods and heavier cold-bloods.
