What is Icelandic Horse Sport?

The discipline showcases the Icelandic horse's natural gaits, tölt and flying pace, in judged and timed competition. Riders compete on oval tracks or pace tracks built for the breed's gaiting style. FEIF governs the sport across more than 20 member countries. It focuses exclusively on breed-specific gait performance rather than general riding disciplines.
