350+ breed exhibitors
Over 350 horses and ponies compete across dedicated breed classes – Irish Draught, Connemara ponies, and performance horses. If you want to see Irish breeds up close and compare them, this is the place.
Kids Zone included
Family tickets include access to a dedicated Kids Zone. Children under 4 get in free.
International show jumping at the top level
The jumping programme runs at CSIO5* and CSIYH1* level – the top tier of international show jumping alongside young horse classes. If you want to watch show jumping at its most competitive, this delivers.
What is Dublin Horse Show?
The Dublin Horse Show is an international show jumping and in-hand showing event held annually at RDS Dublin, taking place 5–9 August 2026. The competition includes classes at CSIO5 and CSIYH1 level, making it one of the most prominent show jumping events on the Irish equestrian calendar. Whether you're coming for top-level Show Jumping, the breed and performance classes, or simply the atmosphere of five busy days at the RDS, the event draws professional competitors, amateur riders, and spectators alike. What happens at Dublin Horse Show?
The Dublin Horse Show 2026 runs across five days in August, with gates opening at 09:00 each day, covering national and international jumping classes alongside a full schedule of in-hand and ridden showing. Where does Dublin Horse Show take place?
The Dublin Horse Show takes place at the RDS Dublin (Royal Dublin Society) in the Ballsbridge area of Dublin. The grounds host multiple competition rings, including the Main Arena, Ring 1, Ring 2, and Simmonscourt. Ballsbridge sits in Dublin's inner south and is well connected by public transport.

The most accessible route onto the showground is through the Main Entrance on Merrion Road, via Hall 1. Exhibitors can pre-book parking for cars, trucks, trailers, and caravans at Marian College, UCD, Merrion Cricket Club, and Old Belvedere Rugby Football Club at a set fee.
The Dublin Horse Show is a ticketed event, with options for General Admission or seated tickets in the Main Arena. Rings & access A standard ticket covers all competitions and performances in Ring 1, Ring 2, and Simmonscourt. Main Arena seating requires a separate seated ticket. Children aged 3 and under are admitted free. Good to know

- Working Hunter Horses Jumping: All National Show Jumping classes require qualification. Full qualifier details are on the official website. Stabling & logistics Stables are allocated by class; specific location requests cannot be accommodated. Arrival times are assigned after entries are processed. Tack rooms can be requested via the Online Portal, available to exhibitors with three or more entries, or when sharing with another exhibitor. Withdrawal: Written withdrawal by Monday, 13 July 2026 is required to be eligible for a partial refund of the entry fee.
