Musik und Hengste 2026 is an equestrian show and concert event taking place in the historic riding hall of Moritzburg State Stud in Moritzburg, Saxony. Since 2003, the riding hall transforms into a concert venue each August for this special occasion. You can expect a unique blend of classical and modern music performed by the Mitteldeutsches Kammerorchester. A key part of the evening is the presentation of the magnificent Moritzburg stallions in the torchlit inner courtyard. If you plan to attend, a ticket is required for entry.

What happens at Musik und Hengste?
Musik und Hengste 2026 starts on the evening of August 22 at 7:00 PM and concludes around 10:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:00 PM. The musical program features the Mitteldeutsches Kammerorchester presenting works by Händel, Haydn, and Mozart. Following the concert, the stud’s stallions are showcased in the illuminated inner courtyard. You will see them hitched to carriages, under saddle, and in-hand. For example, the young stallion CADETT will be presented in-hand, the draft stallion URWIN will pull a sulky, and stallion FRIEDER will be seen with a Tilbury carriage.
