Highlights

Nearly 100 stallions on show

For three hours, nearly 100 stallions move through carriage formations, uniformed quadrilles, and acrobatic riding. The programme runs straight through, so you have plenty of time to take in each act.

200 years of Hengstparaden

Warendorf has been presenting its stallions this way for two centuries. Historic carriage displays and uniformed quadrilles are not just decoration – they are the event.

Evening show with lights

One of the performances takes place after dark, with the stallions performing under lights from 19:00. A solid option if your day is already full.

Kids and dogs welcome

Kids and dogs are welcome. If you usually have to think twice before bringing the whole crew to an equestrian event, that question is already answered here.

What is Hengstparaden Warendorf?

The Hengstparaden Warendorf are an annual stallion show held at the NRW Landgestüt Warendorf state stud in Nordrhein-Westfalen, taking place over two days in September 2026. The Landgestüt is one of Germany's leading state studs and the home of the Rhenish-German Coldblood breed alongside several warmblood and coldblood stallion lines.

The show brings together classical equestrian tradition and breeding culture in one programme – dressage, driving with historical carriages, uniformed quadrilles, and a stallion inspection (Körung) all take place in the same setting. Tickets are available through the official website and tend to sell out ahead of the event.
