Stallion parades
Redefin's state stud presents its stallions in formal parade. Riders and drivers from the stud bring horses of different breeds into the arena, showing off the breeding stock in classic formation.

Dressage, driving, endurance, liberty work – the programme covers a wide range of equestrian disciplines. Both days run back to back, so you get a broad cross-section without travelling between separate events.
Dogs welcome
Dogs are allowed on site. Keep them on a lead and be mindful of other visitors and the horses around you.

Redefiner Hengstparaden are represented in the reviewed export through the official August 2026 Redefiner Pferdetage/Hengstparaden bucket at Landgestüt Redefin. The identity is therefore kept as the Hengstparaden while preserving the broader two-day Pferdetage programme context.

What happens at Redefiner Pferdetage?
The Redefiner Pferdetage 2026 run across both Saturday and Sunday, with the programme starting at the same time each day. Team Landgestüt Redefin performs Hengstparaden (stallion parades), dressage demonstrations, driving shows, and displays of Iberian working equitation. Groundwork and liberty work sessions show how horse and handler communicate without saddle or reins. Where does Redefiner Pferdetage take place?
The Redefiner Pferdetage take place at Landgestüt Redefin in the village of Redefin in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The stud farm is a historic estate with extensive grounds, stable buildings dating back to the 18th century, and a riding hall large enough for major demonstrations. The surroundings are quietly rural – forests, open fields, and the broad flat landscape of Mecklenburg right outside. The nearby small town of Hagenow and the region's lakes and cycling routes are worth exploring if you stay the weekend.

By car, take the A14 to the Dömitz exit, then follow the B195 towards Redefin. Parking is available on the Landgestüt grounds, with dedicated spaces for horse trailers. The nearest train station is Ludwigslust, about 20 km away – from there you can take a taxi or shuttle.
Entry to the Redefiner Pferdetage is ticketed; tickets are available through the official Landgestüt Redefin website. The grounds reward a slower pace – between the historic stable buildings, demonstration arenas, and supporting programme, the atmosphere feels closer to a show day than a competition. You don't need to follow every class to find it worthwhile. Good to know

Families will find a playground on the grounds and pony rides on offer – concrete reasons to bring younger children, not just a vague family-friendly label. Dedicated family areas are marked on the grounds. The pony rides in particular tend to be a draw for smaller kids who may not sit through a full dressage demonstration.
