What is Lusitano?

The Lusitano is a Portugal-bred Iberian horse with a convex facial profile and a powerful build, standing 155–165 cm at the withers. It excels in dressage, high school riding, cattle work, and bullfighting. The breed formally separated from the Andalusian studbook in 1966. The name 'Lusitano' was adopted in 1967 under the APSL registry.
