What is Salon du Cheval d'Angers?
The Salon du Cheval d'Angers is an equestrian trade fair and public exhibition held at the Parc des Expositions in Angers, Pays de la Loire, from 13 to 15 November 2026. With around 260 exhibitors and more than 30,000 m² of exhibition space, it is the largest public horse fair in the Grand Ouest region of France. The fair draws breeders, riders, industry professionals, and curious first-timers in equal measure, covering breeding, equestrian sport, equipment, trade, and welfare under one roof. The Salon du Cheval d'Angers holds the EquuRES sustainability label, which shows up in practical ways: 12 m² horse stalls, locally sourced hay and straw, sand recycling, and composting of manure. Tickets are required for general admission; the evening shows are booked separately.

What happens at Salon du Cheval d'Angers?
The Salon du Cheval d'Angers 2026 runs across three days, open from 10:00 to 20:00 each day, with continuous programming on six dedicated arenas. These six carrières d'animation feature demonstrations across disciplines throughout the day, Western riding, liberty work, groundwork, and more, running back to back from opening until close. Each evening, the „Étoiles Équestres" show takes to the arena: choreographed performances set to music, bringing together skilled riders and their horses in two separate spectacles. The We Horse Green space, part of the fair since 2022, offers five themed discussion areas focused on sustainability and animal welfare in the horse industry, free of charge to all visitors.
Where does Salon du Cheval d'Angers take place?
The Salon du Cheval d'Angers takes place at the Parc des Expositions in Angers, the city's main exhibition centre in the Pays de la Loire. The site is set up with six riding arenas, a large exhibitor floor, and purpose-built horse stalls of 12 m² each, one of the visible commitments the fair makes under its EquuRES sustainability label. Aisles are carpet-free, signage is made from wood, and forage is sourced from local suppliers.

From Angers Saint-Laud station (TGV), take tram line A towards Avrillé and get off at the "Salon du Cheval" stop – free shuttles also run from the train station and bus station. By car, take exit Angers-Ouest from the A11 or exit Angers-Sud from the A85 and follow the signs; parking on site is free.

The Salon du Cheval d'Angers has a dedicated children's area with a farm education zone, bouncy castles, drawing workshops, and craft activities. Pony rides are available on pre-booking. The programme is aimed at children aged 3 to 14 and runs throughout the fair's opening hours.
