Five levels of show jumping

The jumping programme at Fest der Pferde runs from national junior classes all the way up to the CSI2* Grand Prix. Heights range from 1.10 m to 1.50 m across five competition levels, covering the full competitive spectrum.

DSP foal auction

The DSP foal auction brings together young horses from some of southern Germany's top breeding farms. If you're looking for a young prospect, it's a good chance to talk directly with the breeders.

Black Forest gala night

Saturday evening wraps up with an open-air party under a 'Black Forest Friday' theme. It's the natural end to the competition day for anyone who wants to stay on.

CSI2* Grand Prix: the 1.50 m decider

The CSI2* Grand Prix decides the Immenhöfe title. The jump-off runs at 1.50 m, and the fastest clear round takes it.

What is Fest der Pferde Donaueschingen?

The Fest der Pferde is an international show jumping tournament held at Reitzentrum Frese, Immenhöfe in Donaueschingen, Baden-Württemberg, running 29 July to 2 August 2026. The event combines CSI2 classes up to 1.50 m with a DSP foal auction and a multi-level amateur tour. Whether you're a spectator drawn by the atmosphere or a rider looking to compete, the Fest der Pferde covers both. Show jumping from national entry-level up to international CSI2 standard shares the programme with the "Black Forest Friday" open-air evening and the Nachwuchsstars aus dem Süden foal auction – a draw for breeders watching young horses come under the hammer. Tickets are available on the official site.

Where does Fest der Pferde Donaueschingen take place?

The Fest der Pferde takes place at Reitzentrum Frese, Immenhöfe in Donaueschingen, in the southern Black Forest region of Baden-Württemberg. Donaueschingen sits at the point where the rivers Brigach and Breg merge to form the Danube – a location that gives the town both its character and its name. The Reitzentrum itself is a large outdoor equestrian facility, and the surrounding landscape of forests and meadows shapes the feel of the evening events in particular. The broader region offers walking and cycling routes through Schwarzwald scenery, making it a natural base for a multi-day visit.
