Hund & Pferd is an equestrian and pet trade fair held at Messe Dortmund in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, from 6 to 8 November 2026. Part of the established Hund & Pferd series, the fair brings together horse sport competitions, dog shows, breed presentations, and a full exhibitor floor under one roof. What happens at Hund & Pferd?
Hund & Pferd 2026 runs across three days, opening daily at 10:00 and closing at 18:00, with sport, shows, and exhibitions filling the halls of Messe Dortmund. The competition schedule covers show jumping, western and ranch classes, and horse racing, with breed and dog show elements woven throughout. Where does Hund & Pferd take place?
Hund & Pferd takes place at Messe Dortmund in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia. The fairground offers large hall spaces that accommodate both riding arenas and exhibition areas within the same complex. Dortmund sits at the heart of the Ruhr region, well connected by road and rail from across Germany.

By car, take the A40 motorway and exit at Dortmund-Hafen, then follow the signs to Messe Dortmund. By train, Dortmund Hauptbahnhof is just a short walk from the venue. A shuttle service runs on all fair days.
Hund & Pferd is a ticketed event; entry is not free. Good to know - Dogs are explicitly welcome – fitting for a fair built around animals.

The Kinderparadies in Hall 3 runs a daily children's programme with craft activities – kids can build their own hobby horse – and Schnupperreiten, a taster session in the saddle. Pony rides are also part of the offering. It is a hands-on programme for younger visitors who want to do more than watch.
Exhibitors can apply for a stand at Hund & Pferd 2026, with inline, corner, and end positions available.
