Highlights
56 horses in one show
Elaborate costumes, liberty dressage, and aerial acrobatics – 56 horses carry the new show 'Colours of Life' through the LANXESS arena. Music, lighting, and a continuous story thread tie the individual acts together.
CAVALLUNA since 2001
CAVALLUNA has been combining equestrian artistry with theatrical storytelling since 2001. Each new show builds on its own story, weaving riding and stage performance together.
Barrier-free access at LANXESS arena
The LANXESS arena is fully wheelchair accessible. Tailored stable tours are available for visitors with disabilities – worth checking with the organizer beforehand to confirm details.
For the whole family
The show follows a clear story that younger kids can follow without trouble. Liberty performances and quieter moments alternate with more spectacular acts, so the evening works for different ages.
What is CAVALLUNA?
CAVALLUNA "Colours of Life" is a horse show production performing at LANXESS arena in Cologne on 8 and 9 May 2027. The show brings 56 horses into the arena, combining liberty dressage (Freiheitsdressur), groundwork, and trick riding with elaborate costumes and stage choreography.
The CAVALLUNA brand is known for productions that treat riding as performance art rather than pure sport. This edition takes audiences into a fantasy world of mythical creatures and an adventure storyline that runs through the full show. Tickets for all three performances are available on the official CAVALLUNA website.

What do you need to know beforehand?
What happens at CAVALLUNA?
CAVALLUNA "Colours of Life" runs three performances in Cologne across two days in May 2027.
Sat · Saturday, 2 May
Two performances are scheduled: a matinée at 14:00 and an evening show at 19:00. Doors open one to two hours before curtain — the exact time appears on your ticket. Each show runs approximately two hours plus a 20-minute interval.
Sun · Sunday, 3 May
The final performance begins at 13:00, again with doors opening one to two hours beforehand and the same running time.
Stallführungen (backstage stable tours) can be booked alongside any performance. They take you behind the scenes to meet the horses and cast in person. A Stallführung ticket is only valid in combination with a show ticket for the same day.

CAVALLUNA is a spectator-only format — there is no open entry for riders or horse owners.
Anyone wanting a closer look at the production can book a Stallführung (backstage stable tour), which goes behind the scenes and lets you meet the horses and cast in person. The Stallführung ticket is only valid combined with a show ticket for the same day.
If your ticket is lost or damaged, contact the ticket provider with your proof of purchase. The same applies if the barcode is badly damaged – a torn stub can often be taped back together. If you can't make it, you're allowed to pass the ticket on to someone else.
