3* World Ranking Classes
Three world ranking show jumping classes sit at the centre of the CSI3*, pulling in riders and horses from the international circuit. If you want to watch course jumping at that level from the stands, this is the place.
Since 1992
Apropos Pferd has been running since 1992 and has grown into one of the biggest equestrian events in the German-speaking world. What started as a smaller tournament has become a fixture on the calendar over three decades.
Barrier-Free Venue
The Arena Nova is fully accessible, with wheelchair ramps, lifts, and barrier-free restrooms throughout. If you rely on that infrastructure, you can attend without worrying about access.
Western & Stunt Show
Alongside the competition, an international show programme runs for around an hour, featuring Western riding and stunt performances. It gives you something to watch beyond the jumping classes.
What is CSI Apropos Pferd?
The Apropos Pferd is an international equestrian tournament combined with a trade fair, held from 1 to 4 October 2026 at the Arena Nova in Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria. Founded in 1992, it has grown into one of the largest events of its kind in the German-speaking world and is part of the CSI Apropos Pferd series. The programme brings together a CSI 3 Show Jumping tournament with world ranking classes, an international CDI 3 Dressage & Classical competition, indoor Eventing, and western competitions – all at the Arena Nova in a single four-day October event. Alongside the sport, trade exhibitors cover the full spectrum of the horse world, from veterinary services to breeding and equipment. Tickets are available through the official website, and the event draws riders and visitors from across Europe.

What happens at CSI Apropos Pferd?
The Apropos Pferd 2026 runs four days, Thursday through Sunday, with doors opening at nine each morning and a programme that combines international competition, live shows, and trade fair activity. At the core of the sport programme is the CSI 3 show jumping tournament, which includes three world ranking classes and the Großen Preis des Sportlandes Niederösterreich. The international CDI 3 dressage tournament runs alongside, and indoor eventing rounds out the FEI competition calendar. The western tournament returns in 2026 with Ranch Trail, Ranch Pleasure, and Ranch Riding – and for the first time, an additional western class will be held in the main arena. The small riding arena hosts the Rahmenprogramm, with demonstrations covering gaited riding, leisure riding, and handling techniques. Daily talks – some with horses present – address topics such as training methods, physiotherapy, osteopathy, and horse nutrition.
