Dogs are welcome
No need to leave your dog behind. The Beachside Classics are dog-friendly, so you can bring them along to the showgrounds.
CDI3* dressage to Kl.L** jumping
The programme spans CDI3* dressage at international level and show jumping up to Kl.L**. Both disciplines run alongside each other, so you can move between arenas throughout the day.

The Norderneyer Beachside Classics are a dressage and show jumping tournament on the North Sea island of Norderney in Lower Saxony, running from 16 to 20 September 2026. The competition spans a wide range of levels, from Class A up to international CDI3* dressage. Where does Norderneyer Beachside Classics take place?
The Norderneyer Beachside Classics take place at the Norderneyer Beachside Classics Turniergelände on the island of Norderney in Lower Saxony. Norderney is one of the East Frisian Islands and can only be reached by ferry. The island is known for its open beaches, dune landscape, and largely car-free character – many visitors combine the tournament with a longer stay on the island.

Norderney is reached by ferry from Norddeich Mole, with a crossing time of around 45 to 55 minutes. If you're bringing a car, trailer, or lorry, you must book your vehicle onto the ferry online in advance – without a reservation, boarding is not guaranteed. Allow at least 45 minutes from the Emden/Norddeich motorway exit to the departure point, and note that horse trailers are not given priority boarding, so waiting times are possible.
Entry to the Norderneyer Beachside Classics is free – all competition classes on the grounds can be watched at no charge. The venue is outdoors, so sturdy footwear and layers suited to the North Sea coast in September are a practical idea. Dogs are welcome on the grounds. Good to know
